New registrations surged 17.3% to 1,389 in W06, the highest weekly count of 2026 so far, as the traditional late-January incorporation wave peaked. Companies to Watch also jumped 12.9% to 157, driven by a cluster of CRITICAL/HIGH-urgency events in master-tracked firms. Meanwhile, board changes continued their gradual decline to 2,294 as the year-end governance backlog fully clears.

Bankruptcies edged down to 183 (-4.2%), with notable failures in the tech and media space: Goodwall SA (Geneva, est. 2014), a social platform for youth career development, and DCM Swiss SA (Neuchatel), a media content creation platform. Both represent the ongoing correction in venture-backed Swiss startups that struggled to reach profitability post-pandemic.

The deal table featured an unusual mix: ASAA Anlagestiftung's CHF 346M asset transfer from PAT-BVG (a physician pension restructuring), Zürcher Kantonalbank acquiring CHF 2M in assets from Bank Vontobel AG (likely a custody or product transfer), and Eraneos Switzerland AG absorbing abaQon AG in a consulting sector consolidation. Succession signals rose slightly to 48, with SCENERGY SA appearing for the second consecutive week after losing yet another board member.
